Explanatory Writing
We have been reading a lot of different explanatory texts and working on shared explanatory writing. Small groups have started working on their own explanatory writing that answers the question Why is your tongue important? Groups have been working together gathering facts, writing rough drafts, editing and completing a final copy. This group finished yesterday!
Reading New Words using Rhymes & Rimes
We found the rhyming words in the poem Bubblegum Benny by Sheree Fitch and then we identified rime patterns and used them to read and sort new words.
